Our Story

Goway Travel was founded in 1970 in Toronto, Canada by Australian born Bruce Hodge who continues to be President to this day. From modest beginnings, Goway has evolved into one of North America’s largest tour operators and wholesalers for the South Pacific region and other worldwide destinations including Africa, Asia, Idyllic Islands, Latin America and UK/Europe.

Goway Travel Sydney was established in 1985 as a subsidiary of Goway North America. The Sydney office has been trading successfully as an Inbound Tour Operator handling FIT and Group bookings for wholesale clients in North America, the United Kingdom, Europe, South Africa and South America. Our inbound office looks after all aspects of inbound travel into Australia and New Zealand. We provide a complete and reliable ground handling service, no matter the size or complexity – we can meet your most demanding requirements.

Goway is also dedicated to the preservation of the world's unique environment and wildlife and we support various community and conservation programs throughout Australia and New Zealand. In Australia we sponsor a Tasmanian Devil at the Australia Zoo, Koalas at Rainforestation near Cairns and in New Zealand we sponsor a Kiwi bird at Kiwi Encounter in Rotorua.

Our staff explore Australia and New Zealand throughout the year, sourcing new product and reviewing existing product. We provide this information to you through monthly updates. With thousands of room nights every year our buying power means we can provide very competitive rates.
